Block WorkOut Foundation is a charity that uses fitness sessions to enable young people to lead healthy, happy lives and reach their full potential.
BWO Foundation is dedicated to supporting young people aged 13-25 have the best possible chance in life.
Set up by Terroll Lewis in 2014 following an explosive growth of interest in calisthenics and the success of his Block WorkOut programme, the Foundation delivers fitness sessions in estates across London to those who typically cannot access mainstream gyms.
But our sessions are about more than improving health and well-being. Our centres are community hubs as well as gyms, and we provide a positive community network and safe place for young people. Our team of instructors come from the same communities and backgrounds, so they can relate to the challenges that young people face and help them make positive decisions about their life. Our fitness sessions help users develop their confidence, determination and resilience, which is combined with training and mentoring to increase the opportunities available to them and improve their long term aspirations.
This has had a massive impact on my life. I was just walking around, with nothing to do. That’s how teens get into trouble. I don’t know where I’d be if I hadn’t started coming here.”

Our vision is for a society where young people have the same life chances, regardless of their background or where they live. We believe that Block WorkOut Foundation sessions can help young people reach their potential as well as live healthier lives. Our ambition is to deliver sessions in estates across London and ultimately the UK.
